Liam & Janeen's lush wedding at Lusty Beg Island

After shooting here before, I was excited to get back to Lusty Beg, it just oozes beauty with its amazing surroundings. Rain or shine, you are guaranteed an amazing backdrop for photographs.

I met Janeen near 15 years ago when we worked together and she was and still is a breath of fresh air with her constant smile and positive attitude to life. Janeen found her forever happiness when she met Liam and I was so chuffed when she asked me to be their wedding photographer. The 3 of us met up a couple of weeks before the big day and it was more of a catch up than business. But, after the catch up, it was down to business a couple of weeks later..

I arrived at Lusty Beg for bridal/groom prep and entered the lodge to a calm and fun atmosphere which I didn't expect anything less from Janeen. While bridal prep was underway and I nipped over to see Liam and the boys who were conveniently in the cabin beside the girls. There was banter, beer and a few nerves but Liam was ready to marry his "penguin"

Before setting off to the ceremony and see their guests, Liam and Nathan made sure they were both looking smart, a true father and son bond, and Janeen made sure she had a few moments with her two amazing children, Ellie and Warren, being a Mum myself, these are always my favourite moments..

They both were in awe of how beautiful their Mummy looked and again, there were a few tears, happy ones. It was time...

What came next was a first for me in 7 years, the bridesmaids had made their way over to the beautiful outdoor ceremony and as Liam expected to see his new bride, Janeen had organised in full Janeen style, a drag bride to walk down the aisle, with a white tight dress and knee high boots, Liam and the guests were buckled in two laughing. This was a fantastic start to a fantastic day. After Liam got over the shock, it was time for his beautiful bride to make her entrance alongside her proud Dad and son Warren.

It was a beautiful ceremony and unlike our typical weather for November here in NI, the rain stayed away. Ellie had the guests and the new couple emotional as she sang an original song for her Mummy and new Step-dad Liam. I had to wipe the screen of my camera a few times too. It was then time for some photos and the guys and gals were more than happy to put their posing into action. It always makes my job much more enjoyable and fun when the group are amazing people...

After family and group photos were done and they love hearing, "ok, you can all head back the the bar" its time for the happy couple to get some alone time (ok, plus me) to relax and just be themselves and that is exactly what Janeen and Liam done..

The guests and newlyweds chilled out and listened to some beautiful live music while Ellie and I popped out for a little photoshoot and she blew me away. Such a little natural in-front of the camera and a beautiful girl inside and out..

To sum up Janeen and Liam's big day, it was perfect in every way and I am so thrilled Mr & Mrs McCaugherty and their little family got their happily ever after.

A big thank you to Holly and the team at Lusty Beg for their amazing hospitality. They never fail to provide an excellent day from morning until night.
